class debate sz

The whole topic today I feel is a tough one..... everyone has a certain view and no one is wrong. Everyones point of view comes from a certain place. Each person has been through different experiences. Being able to debate and talk about our opinions in a mature matter is positive. When it comes to race debates people often are sensitive to this topic and often tend to over react. However I feel todays topic in class went rather smoothly. This whole chapter in class seems like a very interesting one that we can learn a lot from.

Hi everyone-welcome to your class blog! Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the layout of the blog-it is quite simple once you become accustomed to it. I also wanted to say how impressed I was with today's discussion. Keep in mind that several of the topics we will cover over the duration of the semester are controversial in nature-and I think you all handled today's discussion with respect for each others opinions, and a passion to further explore the ideas of race, racism and racial formation.
